Les Imprimés is the solo project of Norwegian producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Morten Martens, an artist whose music moves through classic soul, doo-wop, easy listening, soft psychedelia, hip-hop rhythm, and warm analogue pop without feeling trapped in any one era. Based in Kristiansand, Martens spent more than two decades working largely behind the scenes as a producer and musician before stepping forward under the Les Imprimés name, bringing with him a deep, quietly obsessive understanding of arrangement, groove, texture, and restraint. Early Big Crown releases such as “I’ll Never Leave” b/w “If I” and “Falling Away” b/w “Still Here” introduced a sound that felt instantly lived-in: falsetto-led, gently cinematic, and full of the kind of melodic patience that makes old soul records feel both simple and impossible to fake. His debut full-length album Rêverie, released in 2023, opened that world further, blending soft drums, shimmering guitars, close harmonies, and late-night melancholy into music that felt nostalgic without being purely retro. Follow-up singles including “Love & Flowers,” “You,” “With You,” and “Only Love” continued to trace that delicate line between sweetness and ache, before Fading Forward arrived in 2026 as a richer, more open-hearted second album. Across his catalogue, Les Imprimés feels like the work of someone finally allowing his own voice to sit at the centre of the room: understated, soulful, carefully made, and quietly affecting, with songs that seem to glow from somewhere just out of time.
